Hide Coloured Motherboard Wires [Quick Hack]

Remember the days when motherboards and other PC components had green PCBs? We’ve come a long way since then. Manufacturers now opt for a clean monochrome look with black (or white) PCBs, headers, connectors and wires, making RGB lighting stand out.

There are still some connectors that use the traditional yellow/red/black wires, in this case, it is the included cooler for the Ryzen 5 3600 from my PC build.

Without any modding, here’s the simplest way to hide these yellow/red/black wires.

Just use a sharpie to color over them. Makes all the difference and you don’t even break a sweat.

An additional tip for neat cable management within the motherboard area is to hide wires behind the motherboard. This is seen here with the ARGB connector on the B550 Aorus Pro AC. This requires a bit of planning ahead, otherwise, removing the nearby motherboard screw gives you enough room to squeeze the connector thru.
