Noctua NH-D14 for a Mini-ITX – Sneak Peek

Here’s a sneak peek of my Mini-ITX Haswell build. As stated earlier, I’m using a ASUS Z87I-Pro motherboard with an Intel i5-4670K. Since I’m planning to overclock it, I decided to go with the Noctua NH-D14.

That thing is huge and was a pain to install to the Bitfenix Prodigy. I ran into some clearance hiccups throughout the build (more on that later) but the G.Skill RipjawsX RAM I chose managed to clear the cooler and fan, however it miserably failed the color match test.

Video will be up soon but the angles and lighting aren’t so great and the battery died about 70% into the build where I completed the rest of it off camera. More pictures and thoughts of the entire build will be up in the next post.
